Introduced in 1994 by Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick and remastered in 2016, the Aeron Chair replaced foam cushioning with 8Z Pellicle suspension mesh — a woven material that distributes pressure evenly, promotes airflow, and eliminates the heat and fatigue of conventional seating. PostureFit SL stabilizes the sacrum and lumbar spine simultaneously, supporting the pelvis in a natural forward tilt. The Harmonic Tilt mechanism allows fluid, body-driven recline rather than pivoting from a fixed point.
The ModernPlanet Aeron range includes the standard Aeron Chair in Basic, Fully Loaded, and Executive configurations, the Aeron Stool for standing-height workstations, and the Herman Miller x Logitech G Aeron Gaming Chair. Three sizes — Small (A), Medium (B), and Large (C) — accommodate a wide range of heights and builds. Available finishes include Graphite, Mineral, and Onyx Ultra Matte. The chair contains over 50% recycled materials including ocean-bound plastics and is BIFMA Level 3 certified.
