Eames Executive Chairs
The Eames Aluminum Group was designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1958, originally commissioned for the Miller house in Columbus, Indiana — a private residence, not an office. The sling construction — fabric or leather suspended between two cast aluminum rails — was intended for outdoor seating. It became one of the most enduring executive chair designs precisely because it was never designed to look like one.
The collection includes three pieces: the Management Chair (higher back, with arms), the Side Chair (armless, works equally as a dining or conference chair), and the Ottoman. All three share the same frame and sling proportions. Available in a range of leather and fabric upholstery options; the polished aluminum base and frame are standard across the collection.
