Office
Knoll's office collection centres on task chairs and desks built for sustained daily use. The Generation Chair, developed with Formway Design in Wellington, New Zealand, accommodates a range of seated postures rather than requiring the user to lock into a single recline angle. The back and seat flex independently, supporting upright work, forward-leaning focus, and casual recline without manual reconfiguration. The Ollo Task Chair, designed by Glen Oliver Loew, uses a mesh back with a floating lumbar panel. The ReGeneration uses a woven back that adapts to posture without manual settings.
Florence Knoll's executive desk and credenza series has anchored the Knoll workspace offer since the 1950s. As director of the Knoll Planning Unit, Florence Knoll defined the modern corporate interior for postwar America, working for IBM, General Motors, and CBS. Her furniture, which she described as the architectural elements needed to make a room work, emerged from that process rather than from a design-first approach. The executive desks use a steel base with wood veneer or laminate tops in multiple lengths. The Morrison Hannah Chair is a lounge piece for informal meeting and reception areas.
Storage from the Florence Knoll credenza series is designed to work alongside the desk series as a complete workspace system.
