LZF Link Chain 3 Suspension Lamp
Following the shape and form of the original link, created in 2007 by Irish designer Ray Power in collaboration with Spanish designer Marivi Calvo, the link chain has been born! This member of the link family has grown, quite considerably so, reaching lengths of up to 172 cm. Carrying on Ray’s study of form and geometry present in its predecessors, this stack of mobius strips comes in two standard sizes made up of 3 sets and 4 sets of the large link pendant modules. The result is a more powerful version, if that is even possible, of the large link suspension light. Though more statuesque, it loses nothing of its original power, created with great skill, having won the Design Plus Award from Material Vision in 2007.

Marivi Calvo
Marivà Calvo (Valencia, 1960) holds a degree in Art History and Fine Arts. She continued her post-graduate studies at the Pratt Institute, New York, specializing in the collagraph technique and in holography at the New York Museum of Holography. Her work has been exhibited in the U.S. and Europe. In 1995, she co-founded Luzifer Lamps along with Sandro Tothill, a family-owned business focused on creating unique wood veneer lampshade diffusers. Since 1995, she has been responsible for the management and corporate image of Luzifer Lamps. Marivà has designed several lamp collections for Luzifer Lamps, such as the Gea, Cosmos, Románicas and Moebius collections. Likewise, she is responsible for the selection and coordination of projects developed by designers collaborating with lzf (Luzifer Lamps), as well as for the design, supervision and installation of exhibition stands, presentations and events for the company.
Ray Power
Irish-born designer Ray Power has collaborated with LZF Lamps since 1998. With an inventive approach to lighting design, he has created many of LZF’s best known lights. Ray’s Air (2008), Link (2007) and New Wave (2015) lamps for LZF were awarded the Red Dot, Chicago Good Design and Chicago Green Good Design awards respectively. Most recently, his Swirl pendant was accorded a 2017 Special Mention by the German Design Council. Ray’s work has been exhibited on the international stage: in Milan, Valencia, Dublin, Madrid and Tokyo. His trademark style is based on geometry and he shows an inherent propensity to create stirring three-dimensional forms with flat materials.
